There are so many auteurs that I love, but I’ve never finished their filmography. That holds even more true when you get into the shorts and videos that IMDB and Letterboxd include for full film lists. Every Friday I’ll be posting a review of a few years worth of an Auteur’s production at a time.
Agnès Varda
If pressed, I would name Agnès Varda my favorite filmmaker of all time, but even with that honorific, I’ve not seen large portions of her output, and especially her short form film work. The queen of the French New Wave directed some 65 films and shorts, and with me only seeing 12 of that 65 going into this project I’m extremely excited.
